This wooden flag attached to the pumphouse in Murrayville was made by Alexander Pepin, our president Fred Pepin’s father. He crafted wooden flags in the 1960s that can be seen on many barns throughout the Fraser Valley. As he travelled the province, he would often put them up on school bus shelters. The family had a history of service in WW II and Alexander wanted to see the new Canadian flag used and celebrated.
