Action!

Langley Heritage Society and Creative Compass Society are filming  "Wheels of Time" which was performed live at the CN Station two summers ago. The short production is centred around the role of the historic station in the life of Langley, and some prominent citizens, like Dr Benjamin Marr and Station Agent Richard Simpson and his wife Mary.  It's been great fun working with these creative volunteers. Stay tuned for news about the big launch. For more on the Creative Compass Society and their promotion of the arts in Langley, go HERE.

Up On The Roof

Job done. Thanks to LHS member Shawn Feddes for sending photos of the newly completed roof at Wark/Dumais House. This beautiful farm home, built in the 1890s and restored by the Langley Heritage Society, sits on the campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The shingles are made from recycled tires and are expected to last for decades. To learn more about historic Wark/Dumais House go HERE

David Hockin Hangs Up Paintbrushes?!

Thanks to Ted Lightfoot for sending this celebration of painter extraordinaire, David Hockin. David has been painting buildings (not to mention a caboose)  restored by the Langley Heritage Society for decades. His work is second to none.
