After a long wait salishan Place by the River’s Grand Opening happened on Saturday February 8th. The new Fort Langley Library also opened its doors and awaits visitors. The museum now begins the process of moving the collection from the old facility across the street and creating exhibits in the new galleries. This three storey, 39,340 square foot arts, culture and heritage centre is a collaboration between the Township of Langley and the Kwantlen, Matsqui, Semiahmoo and Katzie First Nations. Langley Heritage Society is sponsoring classroom room space in the museum and will continue to fund school visits.
