Barn Beauty

Final touches to the first coat of paint, mid-July 2025. Restoration is almost complete! The first coat of paint is drying at the Old Yale Barn, built more than 100 years ago.  LHS president Fred Pepin led the project that included major repairs by local contractors. It includes a new roof, new siding, new beams where needed, all reinforced by plywood, a  new set of stairs and cables strung above the second floor. Have a look at this former dairy barn the next time you’re near Old Yale Park in Murrayville. The project was funded by the Langley Heritage Society and the barn will be operated by Township of Langley Parks. The resident barn owls remained throughout the restoration! Before photos below.
