salishan Place by the River Launches First Exhibit

salishan Place by the River is now open! Admission is free this weekend for the inaugural exhibit, ‘Langley: Many Voices, Shared Place’. Pay a visit, and then walk down to the heritage CNR Station, open noon until 4 pm on weekends.   Basket made by Hazel Gludo, Kwantlen First Nation   Curator Kobi Christian and LHS past president Fred Pepin with his words to live by.

Bays Blackhall Scholarship Winner

Congratulations to Jay - Jungeon Hong of R.E. Mountain Secondary School, winner of this year's Bays Blackhall Scholarship. LHS president Mark Forsythe (left) recently presented the $1,000 award, along with R.E. Mountain principal Paul Trattle. The scholarship is open to all high school students in Langley and honours academic achievement, community service and need.
