A Langley Township Heritage Recognition Plaque has been presented to Stephan Schigas, owner of the Morrison-Hadden House in Fort Langley. Renovations to this 1904 residence include restoration of the cedar roof and the porch, repairs to rotting wood, and new paint on the exterior that returns the house to its original white. The Church Street house can be found on the Langley Heritage Society Walking Tour. Another Recognition Plaque was presented to Chris Boughen and Mike McManus of the Phelp Community Society. The group restored the 1890 St Alban’s Church for use as a community centre in the Otter area. Improvements include a return to the original wood siding, window & sill repairs, and fresh paint for the exterior.
