More than 70 members gathered for the AGM Dinner at the Fort Langley Community Hall on Friday. It’s always a wonderful opportunity to catch up on society news, renew friendships and learn something new. This year’s presentation was all about the new cultural facility, salishan Place by the River. We heard about the exhibit planning and programming from Ryan Schmidt, Manager of Arts & Culture for the Township, and Heritage Curator, Kobi Christian. Kobi Christian is Heritage Curator at Salishan Place by the River and a member of our society. The school programs that LHS sponsors are expected to begin in the fall and they’ll be able to use classroom space sponsored by the society. The museum docent program will also be revitalized.
